Foundations in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) focuses on fundamental safety skills and strengthens members knowledge of worker safety rights and responsibilities. The course includes modules on worker rights, employer and worker responsibilities, union resources, and supports for members to develop confidence in collaborative action.

Foundations in Occupational Health and Safety is comprised of downloadable online resources and one scheduled live session 

Course Format

This course includes.

  • Live session: Engaging session designed for interactive learning and practical application.
  • Downloadable online resources: Practical tools and reference materials to help participants implement what they’ve learned and share knowledge with their coworkers.  

Note: There are no pre-course preparation requirements. All materials are provided as references for use during and after the live session.
